Job summary

Amertron Incorporated (AI-CK) in the Philippines is seeking a full-time Product Engineer to develop new products, guide NPIs, and ensure robust designs for manufacturing. You will manage documentation, support production readiness, and collaborate across process, quality, maintenance, and production teams in a dynamic electronics environment.

Experience with molding, wire bonding, soldering, and mechanical assembly is valued, as is a background in Electro-Optics.

Qualifications

• Experience in product engineering and NPIs is preferred.
• Ability to develop robust designs and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience in production readiness and issue tracking.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of product engineering through the NPI and engineering change process.
• Deliver robust designs and processes to manufacturing with manufacturability in mind.
• Deploy NPI processes to meet milestones, deadlines, and maintain communication with relevant engineers.
• Develop documentation to support production (work instructions, flow charts, procedures, routings, labels).
• Raise issues found during testing and track until resolution.
• Own production readiness and RTP checklist documentation.
• Provide technical assistance to resolve process-control issues for new processes.
• Supervise, coordinate, and revise work of technicians.
• Experience on back-end processes (Molding, Soldering-Wirebonding, Mechanical Assembly, Inspection) preferred.
• Background on Electro-Optics products is an advantage.

I. Primary Function:

Responsible for developing new products. Outstanding problem-solving capability and accountability. Work with a variety of different materials and they used their expertise in engineering principles to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform all aspects of product engineering through the NPI and engineering change process.

2. Deliver robust designs and processes to manufacturing, with a full understanding of product performance, material implications, project cost, and design manufacturability.

3. Appropriate deployment of NPI processes, meeting all design milestones objectives, meeting deadlines, and maintaining clear communication with all (Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, and Production).

4. Develop documentation to support production (work instructions, flow charts, procedures, routings, product labels).

5. Responsibility for raising issues found during testing and tracking those issues until resolution.

6. Demonstrate and own production readiness and document same via the RTP (release to production) checklist.

7. Provides problem-solving and technical assistance to manufacturing operations to resolve process control issues for new processes.

8. Can supervise, coordinate, and technically revise the work of a limited group of technicians.

9. Experience on back-end processes (Molding, Soldering--WIREBONDING, Mechanical Assy, Inspection, etc) is preferred.

10. Background on Electro-Optics products is an advantage.
