Job summary

Advanced Energy in the Philippines (Rosario, Cavite) is hiring an NPI Quality Engineer to lead site quality deliverables during initial product launches, reporting to the NPI Quality Manager.

You will coordinate APQP activities, PFMEA, and Control Plans, ensure sample shipment specs, guide readiness for new programs, and drive quality improvements using 8D, MSA, and SPC tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field from an accredited institution.
• Strong interpersonal communication and listening ability.
• Practical experience with APQP tools, tool usage and NPI program management.
• Competent in 8D methodology: Is-Is Not, Fishbone diagram, Brainstorming, 3x5 Why.
• Competent in quality tools and process/production control methods such as Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, SPC and Product life cycle and Reliability.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications to ensure understanding of quality parameters and product requirements.
• Willing to be based in Rosario, Cavite.

Responsibilities

• Liaison for the site for Advanced Quality Planning activities including internal gate reviews with the Business Unit and with the program team.
• Ensure that product specifications fully comply for sample shipment.
• Ensure execution of PQP delivered from design site QPM.
• Support PFMEA activity to ensure functional specification requirements are met and confirm controls carried into the Control Plan.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering on development and implementation of Poke Yoke strategy and confirm controls carried into the Control Plan.
• Responsible for the confirmation and completion of the manufacturing location’s readiness for launching programs and product/process changes.
• Support and attend launch program meetings and customer process reviews/audits.
• Coordinate development of production process Control Plan, CTQ and Safe Launch Plan and keep update until formal program start of production.
• Monitors the FA part approval of supplied components.
• Conduct program gate reviews to confirm site MRM activities are complete with evidence and timely readiness assessments.
• Ensure MSA studies and adequate Gage R&R for launching programs.

Position Summary

The NPI Quality Engineer is responsible for manufacturing location’s NPI deliverables and confirms completion of the site’s quality documents required internally and by the customer during the initial launch phases of a product, in conjunction with NPI team. This role will report to the NPI Quality Manager.
