Job summary

SMITS, Inc. - IT Company of San Miguel Corporation in Pasig, Philippines, is hiring a Network Monitoring Specialist to oversee the SMC remote sites.

You will monitor performance, coordinate with users, carriers, and suppliers to resolve issues, and escalate Telco problems promptly. You will back up router configurations, manage assets, perform remote and on-site fault isolation for WAN/LAN, and produce technical incident reports with recommendations for repairs or upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of all SMC remote sites performance and availability through SMITS Network Monitoring System
• Daily coordination with users, carriers, and suppliers for quick and proper resolution to network performance issues and problems
• Provides on-time Telco provider escalation and coordination related to network incidents
• Ensures periodic backup of configuration file and OS of remote routers
• Billing and Asset Management
• Performs remote and on-site problem isolation and repair for the WAN and LAN of SMC
• Provides technical report on the network incident
• Provides technical evaluation and recommendation for repair, upgrade or replacement of the network device or connection
• Provides Daily, Weekly and Monthly performance and availability report of the SMC Wide Area Network
• Conducts daily monitoring of the SMC Core equipment such as Core Routers, Switches and Bandwidth Manager
