As frontline defender for infrastructure alerts, you will coordinate with resolver teams, create and maintain incident records in ServiceNow, and support operational tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; familiarity with network fundamentals and monitoring tools.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, Linux preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer is responsible for providing 24x7 monitoring, incident detection, initial troubleshooting, escalation, and operational support for Amkor's global infrastructure environment. The role ensures the availability and reliability of network, server, storage, and enterprise application services through proactive monitoring, event management, and timely incident response.

The NOC Engineer serves as the first line of defense for infrastructure-related alerts and system abnormalities, coordinating with resolver teams to restore services while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure Monitoring

• Perform proactive monitoring of global network, server, storage, and application environments.
• Monitor infrastructure health using approved monitoring platforms and dashboards.
• Review and respond to alerts related to:
• Network availability
• Server performance
• Storage utilization
• Connectivity failures
• Transaction processing errors
• Backup integrity and scheduled jobs
• Conduct continuous "eyeball monitoring" and identify abnormal conditions requiring escalation.

Incident Management

• Perform initial triage, diagnosis, and documentation of infrastructure incidents.
• Create, update, and manage incident records in ServiceNow.
• Escalate incidents to appropriate resolver groups following established escalation matrices.
• Coordinate with Global Service Desk, Infrastructure Teams, Application Support Teams, and Site IT Teams during major incidents.
• Ensure incidents are acknowledged and escalated within SLA targets

Transaction and Application Monitoring

• Monitor SAP, FBR, AS400, SQL, Domino, and related enterprise services.
• Verify successful processing of scheduled transactions and system integrations.
• Identify transaction failures and coordinate resolution with application support teams.

Operational Support

• Perform daily operational procedures and scheduled monitoring activities.
• Support backup monitoring and validation.
• Assist with request fulfillment activities and standard operational tasks.
• Maintain accurate shift handover documentation and operational trackers.
• Participate in disaster recovery, maintenance windows, and planned change activities when required.

Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain incident records, escalations, and operational logs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles, procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and operational efficiencies

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

A. Education/Knowledge

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related technical field.

B. Skills

Understanding network fundamentals, familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools and experience with ITSM platforms. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills. Commitment to operational excellence and customer service.

C. Work Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years in the same/related field. Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, Linux, or other infrastructure-related certifications are preferred
