Job summary

Knit People is hiring a Payroll Specialist for US and Canada markets. This role starts remote and will transition to a hybrid office in Makati. Night shift coverage supports cross-border payroll processing and client onboarding.

You will work with accounting, sales, and product teams to optimize payroll workflows. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of payroll or accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English, written and spoken.
• Experience with US or Canadian payroll is highly preferred.
• 3-5 years in full-cycle accounting or payroll analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and basic pivots.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Audit new clients’ payroll setups for correct configuration and smooth transition to Knit.
• Manage integration process for new clients, collecting and inputting data accurately.
• Lead pre- and post-onboarding calls to set expectations for ongoing partnership.
• Own payroll and auditing for clients within a region, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Schedule and run payrolls per SOPs, perform quarterly and year-end audits.
• Maintain client profiles and processing instructions with accurate payroll tax details.
• Provide support to clients by addressing payroll questions and improving processes.
• Collaborate across departments to develop internal docs, best practices, and workflows.
