Job summary

Origo BPO is hiring a Cash Application Specialist for nightshift supporting US-based clients. You will post customer payments, apply to invoices in NetSuite, and resolve discrepancies in a high-volume AR environment.

Responsibilities include bank deposit processing (lockbox/ACH), wire transfers as needed, and collaborating with AR and Sales to ensure accurate posting and timely close.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on cash application experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
• Experience processing lockbox deposits and ACH payments at a U.S. bank.
• Comfortable handling occasional wire transfers.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and review daily bank lockbox images and remittance data; match payments to open invoices in NetSuite.
• Process and post ACH payment batches daily, ensuring accurate application against customer accounts and invoices.
• Process occasional incoming wire transfers, verifying amounts and posting to the correct customer account.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, overpayments, and misapplied payments promptly.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts against bank statements/lockbox reports to post same-day or next business day.
• Investigate and clear discrepancies between bank deposits and system postings; escalate unresolved items.
• Communicate with customers or internal teams to obtain remittance detail when needed.
• Maintain organized records of remittance advices and backup for audit purposes.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to cash application.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
