Job summary

EviSmart is seeking a dedicated night Incident Commander to own incident response when the daytime team isn’t on duty. You will monitor platform health, triage issues, and drive resolution, ensuring consistent processes across shifts.

You will train a night backup and partner with DevOps to maintain stability, with a focus on fast, safe fixes and clear communications during incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical support or incident response for SaaS/platform operations.
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure without direct supervision.
• Clear, calm communication with customer-facing teams during live incidents.
• Ability to teach and delegate to peers even without formal management authority.

Responsibilities

• Own incident command at night, triage and drive to resolution.
• Monitor platform health day and night and catch issues early.
• Ensure cross-shift process and communication align with daytime standards.
• Train a night backup in real triage and delegation of tasks.
• Collaborate with DevOps to maintain infrastructure stability.
• Know when to escalate or call for additional help.
