Job summary

EviSmart™ is seeking a dedicated night incident commander for our Autopilot platform. You will own overnight incident response, triage, and ensure day-time standards apply after hours.

You will train a night backup, coordinate with DevOps, monitor platform health, and maintain seamless cross-shift communication.

This is an individual contributor role requiring calm under pressure, hands-on troubleshooting, and clear updates to customer-facing teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as an individual contributor in technical support or incident response.
• Ability to own incidents at night without supervision.
• Comfort with basics like service restarts and log review; ticketing systems knowledge (Jira).
• Clear, calm communicator during live incidents.

Responsibilities

• Own incident command at night and triage to resolution.
• Monitor platform health day and night to catch issues early.
• Ensure cross-shift consistency of processes and tools with daytime operations.
• Train one night backup to handle incidents when needed.
• Collaborate with DevOps to keep infrastructure stable and improve tooling.
