Job summary

RemoteVA PH is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare competitive bids for projects in New York City. You will read architectural and electrical drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop cost estimates for electrical systems.

This role requires accuracy, strong communication, and collaboration with project managers, engineers, and electricians to ensure proposals meet NYC codes and client requirements. A bachelor's degree and experience with NYC projects are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in construction or electrical contracting.
Experience reading architectural and electrical drawings and preparing electrical bids.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret architectural and electrical drawings to determine project scope.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical installations, devices, and materials.
Prepare accurate cost estimates and bids for electrical projects in NYC.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and electricians to clarify requirements.
Update estimates based on change orders, RFIs, or revised drawings.
Maintain organized records of drawings, estimates, and proposals.
Ensure compliance with NYC electrical codes and industry standards.
