Job summary

Beacon Solutions, Inc. seeks a Network Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the network infrastructure, focusing on routing, switching, and security. You will troubleshoot issues, ensure optimal performance, and collaborate with other teams to implement robust network solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field.
2-3 years of hands-on experience in network/IT or related field.
Strong foundation in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
Comprehensive skills in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
VLANs, Spanning Tree, and network device configurations.
In-depth knowledge in Firewall configuration, VPNs, SD-WAN, and security protocols (Palo Alto, Checkpoint a plus).
Familiarity with network tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, FortiSIEM, Meraki, Datadog).
Certifications like CCNA, Fortinet, HCNA, etc.

Responsibilities

Planning and designing network architectures, including routing/switching under layer 2 & 3.
Installation and commissioning of network devices.
Troubleshooting and resolving network problems for high availability.
Tracking performance, bottlenecks, and improving efficiency.
Monitoring traffic, bandwidth, latency, and security alerts.
Maintaining detailed network/firewall configurations and policies.
Collaborating with security, systems, and support teams for integration.
Determining latest technologies to improve security of the system.
