Job summary

SMITS, Inc. - IT Company of San Miguel Corporation is seeking a seasoned Network and Security Engineer in the Philippines. The role focuses on building and securing enterprise networks, managing firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years in security engineering, hands-on EDR/EPP tooling, and strong SIEM/log analysis capabilities, with relevant certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Eng, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in network and security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco), VPNs, IDS/IPS, and routing/switching.
• Hands-on experience with EDR/EPP tools (CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint, Trend Micro, SentinelOne).
• Proficient in security monitoring, log analysis, SIEM platforms, and threat-hunting methodologies.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and patching programs.
• Familiarity with cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP) is an advantage.
• CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC, or vendor certifications.
