Job summary

Thrive is seeking a Patch Network Engineer to join the Platform Team. You will onboard clients, troubleshoot patching failures, maintain patch catalogs, and document processes, while staying current on new features to support staff and clients.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, 2+ years in Linux/server and desktop support, strong communication, and the ability to work after hours. You will collaborate with teams to ensure secure, reliable patching across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of Linux server and desktop support.
• 2+ years of desktop and server support experience.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft patching schedules and methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work after-hours as tasks dictate.
• Willingness to train, learn and educate others.
• Detail oriented position requires high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks of varying priority.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding new clients. This includes creating policies to apply settings consistently over the client’s endpoints.
• Troubleshooting issues with the patching process, including installation failures.
• Performing regular maintenance of our systems, including patch approval and maintenance of 3rdparty patch catalogs.
• Keeping up with education on new features to provide support and training to staff and clients.
• Assist other team members with tasks outside of patching as time permits.
