Job summary

DNV GL Energy Systems in the Asia Pacific region seeks an engineer with a strong academic record, preferably a Master’s degree in naval architecture or offshore structures, to analyze offshore structures for renewables and energy markets.

You will join the Floaters and Marine Operations advisory team, based in Shanghai and Singapore, contributing to strength and fatigue studies for FPSO, FSRU, Floating Wind and related installations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in naval architecture or offshore structures from an accredited college or university.
• Good basic engineering skills/understanding.
• Team player with positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams.
• Service oriented with a proactive attitude.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participation in and contribution to strength and fatigue assessment of floating structures, stability, hydrodynamics, float over operations, moorings and riser systems.
• Delivery of single work packages and managing smaller projects; direct communication with clients worldwide.
• Prepare accurate technical reports and support senior engineers with tenders and proposals.
• Attend meetings and deliver presentations as required.
