Job summary

Aqualis Group in Cebu, Philippines, is seeking a senior marine engineering professional to lead and deliver complex offshore and marine projects. The role involves guiding engineers, ensuring compliance with standards, and managing project delivery from concept to execution.

You will work independently at a senior level, support business development, and build client relationships while maintaining high technical competence and contributing to training and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; 10+ years in marine/energy sectors.

Working as a core member of our team in the Philippines, you will play a key role in leading and delivering complex offshore and marine engineering projects, providing technical expertise across projects ranging from concept development and detailed design through to life extensions. These projects range from offshore wind and marine through to offshore energy developments.

What will you be doing?

• Deliver high-quality technical consultancy services across a range of marine and offshore projects.
• Review and approve engineering work, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, procedures, and delegated authority levels.
• Provide, guidance, and support to engineers and designers.
• Support the continuous development of technical capabilities, standards, and best practices across the discipline.
• Contribute to the improvement of engineering processes, procedures, and methodologies.
• Manage assigned projects, ensuring delivery to agreed safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Identify and coordinate resource requirements to support successful project execution.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project administration activities, including planning, invoicing, and cash collection.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in collaboration with Product and Sector Leads.
• Support business development, marketing, and tendering activities.
• Represent the company at industry events and contribute to initiatives that promote business growth and client engagement.
• Support the identification and implementation of training and development initiatives to strengthen technical capability within the team.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of training materials, guidance, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Maintain personal professional development and technical competence in line with industry and business requirements.

What are we looking for?

• Educated to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience within the marine and / or energy industry.
• Strong knowledge of Class Rules, offshore standards, and relevant industry codes and regulations.
• Experience leading, managing, or providing technical oversight to engineering teams.
• Proven track record of delivering engineering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Ability to work independently and perform at a senior level with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding and application of current industry standards, methodologies, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to review and approve structural engineering deliverables, including analysis models, calculations, reports, and drawings.
• Experience with beam finite element analysis software such as SACS, SESAM, or STAAD.Pro.
• Experience with plate and solid finite element analysis software such as FEMAP or ANSYS.
• Familiarity with 3D design tools such as ShipConstructor, Aveva or Inventor is desirable.
