Job summary

ETap Management Services Inc. (EMSI) is seeking a Field Technician to coordinate day-to-day field maintenance operations, schedule technician assignments, validate completed work, and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• At least a vocational diploma, technical certification, or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related technical field.
• Certification or training in equipment servicing, troubleshooting, or preventive maintenance is an advantage.
• Must have a motorcycle with complete and updated papers and a valid driver's license which may be required depending on field assignment and mobility needs.
• Occupational health and safety training or equivalent certification is desirable.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in equipment servicing, field maintenance, or technical support.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose machine issues and perform repairs with approved parts and tools.
• Carry out preventive maintenance including inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration.
• Record all service activities and attach photos/logs for traceability.
• Coordinate with supervisors to escalate issues and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Education

What a Field Technician Looks Forward to Doing Well

The Field Technician is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of field maintenance operations by scheduling technician assignments, validating completed maintenance work, and ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant with standards. The role supports the Field Maintenance Supervisor by monitoring task progress, tracking service performance, and facilitating communication between technicians and management. It also contributes to operational reliability by assisting in issue escalation, maintaining organized maintenance records, and providing administrative and logistical support to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant field maintenance operations.

What You Will Do

Perform Troubleshooting and Repairs

• Diagnose machine malfunctions accurately and implement corrective measures.
• Replace defective parts using approved components and tools.
• Calibrate machines after repair to restore full functionality.
• Coordinate with supervisors for recurring technical issues.
• Provide feedback on recurring machine failures to support process improvement.

Conduct Preventive Maintenance

• Carry out scheduled inspections and preventive servicing as per maintenance plan.
• Clean, lubricate, and calibrate machines to maintain efficiency.
• Identify potential wear-and-tear components and report replacements in advance.
• Validate functionality through test runs after maintenance.
• Ensure preventive maintenance checklists are fully completed and submitted.

Accurate Service Documentation

• Record all service activities, including issue, action taken, and parts used.
• Maintain proper documentation in the companys maintenance system/software.
• Submit service reports within the required turnaround time.
• Ensure traceability of work done by attaching necessary photos/logs.
• Provide accurate updates for supervisors monitoring and reporting needs.
