Job summary

Arup is seeking a Transport Planner to join our Manila team, coordinating with Southeast Asia and East Asia groups and traveling as needed to SEA project locations. You will contribute to concept planning, transport infrastructure design, and master plan development while liaising with clients and LGUs for timely deliverables.

The role requires 5–7 years in traffic and transport planning, GIS and modelling tool familiarity, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English and Tagalog.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in transport planning, transport engineering, urban planning, civil engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in traffic and transport planning.
• GIS proficiency and familiarity with transport modelling tools.
• Strong Excel skills; VBA or Python is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in English and Tagalog; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking concept planning, assessment, and design of transport infrastructure, including roads, buses, and rail.
• Supporting visioning, strategy development, policy evaluation, and action plans for transport master plans.
• Conducting public transport assessments, service plans, and traffic impact analyses for developments.
• Contributing to studies on future transport trends and managing transport surveys.
• Liaising with clients, ensuring quality deliverables, and supporting proposals with LGUs and developers.
• Contributing to regional bids and proposals for international development banks and government clients.
