Job summary

Firmbuilders Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to oversee the motorpool in Quezon City. You will manage vehicles, heavy machinery, and tools, ensuring maintenance, scheduling, and safety compliance in daily operations.

The role requires 5–10 years of hands-on experience with bulldozers, excavators, and loaders, plus certification training. A valid license and the ability to read schematics and manuals are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations for heavy equipment operation.
  • Physical strength and ability to operate equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a heavy equipment operator training program or apprenticeship.
  • Experience in construction, mining, or related industries.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • 5–10 years of heavy equipment experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the motorpool.
  • Monitor deployment and availability of vehicles, heavy equipment, and tools.
  • Ensure maintenance and good condition of vehicles and equipment.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, and vehicle registration.
  • Perform or supervise basic repairs; coordinate major repairs with external service providers.
  • Monitor fuel, oil, and equipment usage and records.
  • Supervise drivers, equipment operators, and mechanics and their schedules.
  • Canvass and purchase spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and repair shops for servicing and parts replacement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and proper use of vehicles and equipment.
