Job summary

Firefly Electric and Lighting Corporation (FELCO) is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer (IT Software Engineer 2 - Mobile) in Ermita, Manila. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications that support operations and customer-facing processes, with ownership of features across the full SDLC.

You will work with cross-functional teams, contribute to architecture discussions, and guide junior members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Design, develop, and own moderately complex mobile features and integrated components, ensuring interaction with backend APIs and platform native functionalities.
• Bug Fixing & Enhancements: Analyze, diagnose, and resolve non-routine technical issues and bugs; lead significant enhancements to improve performance or stability.
• Testing & Documentation: Create unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; contribute to technical design docs and specifications.
• Technical Notes & Task Logging: Prepare design documents, technical specs, and architecture diagrams; provide notes for knowledge sharing.
• Requirement Clarification: Translate business requirements into concrete technical specs and implementation plans.
