Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, business analytics or related field.
• 3+ years of professional MIS/BI reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel with VBA and complex macros.
• Power BI expertise: data modelling, DAX, dashboards.
• Strong data analytics, BI concepts.
• SQL or other query languages for data extraction.
• Relational databases and data warehouse knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Clear communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills for multiple projects.
• Nice to have Tableau/Looker and ETL exposure.

About the role

Cognizant Technology Solutions Philippines Inc. is seeking a MIS Reports Analyst to join our growing team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable business intelligence. As an MIS Reports Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting systems that support strategic decision-making across the organisation. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring that stakeholders have access to accurate, timely, and meaningful data insights.

Key responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain Excel-based reporting solutions utilising advanced macro functionality and VBA programming

2. Create and optimise interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualise complex data sets for executive and operational stakeholders

3. Extract, transform, and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights

4. Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications

5. Perform data validation, quality assurance, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and reliability of all reports

6. Automate routine reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention

7. Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting systems, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures

8. Provide technical support and training to end-users on report usage and data interpretation

9. Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to existing reporting infrastructure

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field

2. 3+ years of professional experience as an MIS Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar reporting role

3. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including expertise in VBA programming and creating complex macros

4. Strong experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and dashboard development

5. Solid understanding of data analytics principles, statistical methods, and business intelligence concepts

6. Experience with SQL or other query languages for data extraction and manipulation

7. Proficiency in working with relational databases and data warehouse concepts

8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

9. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

10. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

11. Preferred: Experience with additional visualisation tools such as Tableau or Looker

12. Preferred: Exposure to ETL processes or data integration tools

13. Preferred: Knowledge of business processes in finance, operations, or supply chain functions
