Job summary

Umpisa Inc. in Manila is seeking a Mid Technical Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software across web, mobile, API, and microservices.

You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to validate functionality, ensure test coverage, and support stable releases. The role requires hands-on testing, strong problem solving, and experience with automation tools in a scaled agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of QA/Software Testing with hands-on manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience testing web, API, and mobile applications.
• Hands-on with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and improving automation coverage.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in test planning, execution, defect tracking, and release readiness.
• Experience with test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of API testing with Postman, REST/JSON.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on testing of web, mobile, API, and microservices applications.
• Contribute to automated test suites, including DevOps pipeline integration.
• Own QA activities within agile teams, serving as the quality gatekeeper.
• Ensure test phases cover functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Collaborate with developers, scrum masters, stakeholders, and clients to meet requirements.
• Define testable user stories, prepare test scenarios and cases, execute and automate tests.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, reporting progress and challenges.
• Implement defect management and incident reporting practices.
• Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and deliverables.
• Stay updated on new digital product and technology trends and apply learnings.
• Communicate progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
• Align with company culture and contribute to team collaboration.
