AgileEngine is seeking a Mid-level QA Engineer to validate a SaaS web application through functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.

You will design and maintain test cases, test REST APIs, and ensure UI-backend integrity while collaborating with product, UI, and back-end teams across sprints. This role emphasizes independent work, clear communication, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience testing SaaS web applications (functional, compatibility, usability, integration)
• Good test design skills
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
• Basic knowledge of HTTP, client-server architecture and REST APIs (Postman or similar)
• Ability to define root cause of bugs for FE/BE
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Upper-intermediate English
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and ask questions when needed

Responsibilities

• Execute manual functional, regression, integration and usability testing of a SaaS web application
• Create, document and maintain test cases and checklists for existing and new features
• Test REST APIs and validate UI-backend integration
• Identify root causes of bugs and document in Jira
• Participate in sprint planning, QA estimation, demos and retrospectives
• Communicate testing status and blockers clearly to the team

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Mid-level QA Engineer to test a SaaS web application through functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.

MUST HAVES

• 2+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer testing SaaS web applications (functional, compatibility, usability and integration testing)
• Good test design skills
• Good knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
• Basic knowledge of the HTTP protocol, client-server architecture and REST APIs (Postman or similar)
• Ability to define the root cause of bugs for FE/BE
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Upper-intermediate English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, while knowing when to ask questions

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with test automation (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar), or a desire to grow into automation
• Basic SQL / database skills (PostgreSQL)
• Exposure to cloud or virtualization platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V)
• Understanding of Linux/Windows installation and configuration, including networking and storage setup
• Experience with Git and CI systems

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Execute manual functional, regression, integration and usability testing of a SaaS web application
• Create, document and maintain test cases and checklists for both existing and new product functionality
• Test REST APIs and validate the integration between the UI and back-end services
• Identify the root cause of bugs (front end vs. back end), and create and manage clear bug reports in Jira
• Take part in sprint planning, story refinement, QA estimation, demos and retrospectives
• Communicate testing status, roadblocks and results to the team, and help keep testing visible within each sprint
• Work directly with product management, UI engineers, back-end engineers and DevOps as part of the Quality Engineering team
