Job summary

GECO Philippines, part of the GECO Asia Group, seeks a Mid-Level Automation QA Engineer with hands-on automation experience and Robot Framework. You will develop, execute, and maintain automated tests while aligning with Manual QA, Developers, and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include building automation frameworks, API testing with Postman, and ongoing QA process improvements. Five days onsite in Alabang (RTO) is required, with preference for candidates living nearby.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Automation QA/Testing.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
• Knowledge of TDD or BDD development methodologies.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or C.
• Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman.
• Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
• Experience in test case design, planning, defect management, and QA documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Willing to work 5 days onsite (RTO) in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
• Preferably residing near Alabang or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework.
• Translate requirements into automated test cases and ensure coverage.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites.
• Collaborate with Manual QA Engineers to identify test cases for automation.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Perform API testing and backend validation using tools like Postman.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects; validate fixes.
• Review results and provide QA process improvements.
• Create and maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and QA documentation.
• Contribute to improving automation frameworks and QA processes.
• Work with Developers, QA, Analysts, and Project Managers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities.

We are looking for aMid-Level Automation QA Engineer with solid hands-on experience in test automation andRobot Framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts while working closely with Manual QA Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into automated test cases.


• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites.


• Collaborate with Manual QA Engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation.


• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.


• Perform API testing and backend validation using tools such as Postman or REST API tools.


• Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects.


• Validate defect fixes and new functionalities.


• Review test results and provide recommendations for improvement.


• Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and QA documentation.


• Contribute to improving automation frameworks, tools, and QA processes.


• Work closely with Developers, Manual QA Engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.


• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and contribute to continuous QA improvements.

Requirements

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.


• Knowledge of mobile or cloud-based testing.
