Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/ENG or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software QA / Manual Testing.
• At least 1 year in E-commerce, especially checkout and payments.
• Strong UI/Web application testing experience.
• API testing experience using Postman/Swagger or equivalent.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience creating Master Test Plans, strategies, RTMs, and reports.
• Familiarity with SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile/Waterfall.
• Trained in Automation Testing with basic exposure.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and scripts.
• Perform Functional, System, Integration, Regression, and UI/Web testing.
• Conduct API testing and validate backend data using SQL queries.
• Create Master Test Plans, test strategies, RTMs, and effort estimates.
• Prepare test environments and data required for execution.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and verify defects.
• Ensure releases meet requirements through thorough testing.
• Prepare Test Summary Reports and Acceptance Test Certificates.
• Collaborate with Automation QA Engineers to identify automation opportunities.
• Mentor junior QA Analysts and contribute to QA process improvements.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software QA / Manual Testing
• At least 1 year of experience in E-commerce, particularly with checkout and payment systems
• Strong experience in UI/Web Application Testing
• Intermediate experience in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing
• Experience creating Master Test Plans, test strategies, test cases, RTMs, and test reports
• Solid understanding of test design techniques, QA methodologies, and SDLC (Agile & Waterfall)
• At least trained in Automation Testing with basic automation exposure
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Good to Have:

• ISTQB Certification
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, financial services, or other enterprise business domains
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior QA Analysts
• Familiarity with CMMI standards and QA process improvements
• Exposure to automation frameworks and collaboration with Automation QA teams

Job Roles & Responsibilities

Manual Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scripts
• Perform Functional, System, Integration, Regression, and UI/Web Application Testing
• Conduct API testing and validate backend data using SQL queries
• Create Master Test Plans, test strategies, RTMs, and test effort estimates
• Prepare test environments and test data required for execution
• Identify, document, reproduce, and verify software defects
• Ensure software releases meet business and functional requirements through comprehensive testing
• Prepare Test Summary Reports and Acceptance Test Certificates

Process & Improvement:

• Follow SDLC, CMMI standards, and QA best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate in peer reviews of requirements, RTMs, test cases, and testing deliverables
• Analyze testing results and recommend quality improvements
• Collaborate with Automation QA Engineers to identify automation opportunities
• Execute and maintain automated test cases when applicable
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards

Reporting & Support:

• Execute manual test cases and report testing progress
• Validate defect fixes through regression and functional testing
• Prepare testing documentation, reports, and effort estimates
• Ensure testing deliverables are completed within project timelines

Administrative & Teamwork:

• Log testing activities and project updates using ATLAS or other project management tools
• Ensure compliance with organizational QA standards and processes
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and support teams
• Mentor junior QA Analysts and provide guidance when needed
• Continuously enhance QA knowledge by staying current with industry trends, testing tools, and emerging technologies
• Support changing project priorities and perform other duties assigned by management
