Job summary

Xurpas Inc is seeking a BI/Infrastructure professional to configure, install, administer, operate, upgrade, monitor, sustain, and support BI platforms and related infrastructure. You will deliver service across these platforms and work with teams to ensure performance and reliability.

The role requires hands-on experience with BI tools, cloud and on-premise environments, and a proactive approach to performance tuning, scripting, and automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in business intelligence tools
• Experience managing BI platforms including Qlik, MicroStrategy, Business Objects and Power BI
• Experience with programming languages like Python, Terraform, Ansible
• Solid understanding of the broader technology portfolio
• Experience managing services running on both Linux and Windows Operating Systems on-premises and in AWS
• Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies
• Administers processes and procedures related to code management
• Engages various teams to evaluate and implement performance tuning recommendations

Responsibilities

• Swiftly resolve disruptions to technology services to minimize user impacts and maintain service levels
• Review the production readiness of technology solution implementations and deployments and coordinate next steps across the involved teams
• Oversee and provide guidance on analysis of performance trends and actions being taken for preventing potential impacts
• Effectively use logic as a problem-solving tool
• Demonstrate understanding of statistical models for problem analysis
• Actively help team members and make suggestions to improve practices
• Perform deployments, job scheduling, and monitoring platforms
• Participate in an On-Call rotation
• Maintain root cause analysis skills for investigation of incidents impacting technology availability
• Review capacity utilization for trends and raise awareness across teams to address areas of excess and shortages

About the role
