Job summary

ScalableOS in Makati, Philippines is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 engineer to operate behind the scenes, focusing on security, complex escalations, and project work. This role is not frontline, not client-facing, and not a leadership position.

It’s designed for deep technical work as a back-of-house escalation specialist reporting to the Operations Manager. Your time will be split roughly 60% on Microsoft 365 security and escalation BAU and 40% on planned projects such as SharePoint Online

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 in MSP or multi-tenant environments.
• Experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Microsoft 365 security tooling.
• SharePoint Online administration and migrations experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Clear documentation and practical problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft certifications are welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex Microsoft 365 security and identity issues escalated from the service desk.
• Design, adjust and troubleshoot: Entra ID / Azure AD (MFA, Conditional Access, access models).
• Secure mail flow and phishing protections.
• Deliver projects such as SharePoint Online migrations and tenant security uplift.
• Perform root-cause analysis and document outcomes for operational handover.
• Improve internal standards, runbooks and repeatability across client environments.

This is not a frontline, not client-facing, and not a leadership role. It’s designed for someone who prefers deep technical work over meetings and noise. You’ll work as a back-of-house escalation specialist, reporting to the Operations Manager. Your time will be split approximately:
