Job Description
- 1. Process Development and Optimization-Design and enhance manufacturing processes for aerospace components such as sheet metal parts, ducts, tubing, and machined parts.-Interpret engineering drawings to identify required manufacturing steps for components and sub-assemblies.-Apply advanced knowledge of GD&T to accurately interpret aerospace component requirements.-Utilize 3D CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo) for process planning and simulation.-Develop Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Off (MTO) lists, and routing details in INFOR ERP.-Identify and define requirements for tooling, fixtures, and gauges for component manufacturing.-Provide conceptual inputs for fixture design and oversee development of special tools.-Participate actively in initial trials of components and fixtures, and refine processes based on trial feedback.
- 2. Documentation and Standards Compliance-Prepare and maintain APQP documentation including PFMEA, PPAP, and Control Plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.-Regularly review and update process documents in line with customer requirements and internal standards.-Interpret and implement customer specifications and standards, translating them into internal work instructions.-Define subcontracting process requirements and prepare supplier flow-down documentation.
- 3. Cost and Cycle Time Optimization-Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction and productivity improvement using data-driven approaches.-Root cause analysis for process deviations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.-Collaborate closely with tool designers, programmers, planners, and production teams to ensure process feasibility and integration.-Ensure timely implementation of approved changes in compliance with customer-specified timelines.-Coordinate process releases through defined departmental control procedures and track implementation effectiveness.
- 4. Audit Readiness and Quality Assurance-Ensure process readiness and technology deployment up to First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) submission.-Adherence to systems and documentation as per AS9100, EMS, OHSAS & ISMS, and customer‑specific requirements. -Valuing the information received & effort spent in creating every piece of information. Ensuring the right information is accessed by right individuals. Ensuring Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of information.-Responsible to control usage of energy sources for Environmental protection and Energy Security for sustainable growth.
- 5. Organisational Imperatives:-Participate in improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, PMO, Cross functional projects and Business Excellence etc.-To ensure Enterprise Risk Management for Key Processes, Subordinate and Team Development and Adherence to Compliance and Safe Working Environment.-Follow Values, Code of Conduct and Business Ethics and Safety practices in all work operations
Qualification Details
Essential Qualification :
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering
Preferred Qualification :
Experience Details
Essential Experience :
Minimum 3 years for Degree or 5 years for Diploma in Engineering
Preferred Experience :
Relevant experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing industries.
