Alberto Shoes Corporation is seeking a Merchandising Associate (Allocator) to join our dynamic retail team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimizing our inventory distribution across stores and channels. As a Merchandising Associate (Allocator), you will be responsible for analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and strategically allocating stock to maximize sales performance and minimize excess inventory. Your work will directly impact our ability to meet customer demand, drive profitability, and maintain optimal stock levels across our retail locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute allocation plans that balance inventory levels with expected demand, ensuring stock availability whilst minimizing overstock situations
• Monitor inventory turnover rates and adjust allocations based on performance metrics and seasonal trends
• Collaborate with store managers and regional teams to understand local market conditions and refine allocation strategies accordingly
• Prepare detailed allocation reports and recommendations for senior merchandising and retail management teams
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, transfers and allocation decisions using merchandising systems and databases
• Identify slow-moving inventory and recommend markdown strategies or alternative placements to improve sell-through rates
• Support the merchandising team with general administrative tasks and special projects as required

What we're looking for

• Graduate of Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Merchandising or any related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory management or merchandising software systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
