Terry S.A. Inc. in Makati seeks a commercially minded Merchandise Planner to own pre-season, in-season, and post-season financial architectures across omni-channel channels.
You will reconcile top-down targets with bottom-up category plans, steer OTB execution, and maximize gross margin through inventory planning and strategic replenishment.
Terry S.A. Inc. (TSA) is a premium brand management and retail company established in 2003, dedicated to lifestyle creation and demand generation across the Philippines. As the exclusive distributor of iconic global brands—anchored by Havaianas and complemented by active lifestyle retail concepts such as Aura Athletica—our business blends Brazil’s spirit of freedom and ease with rigorous commercial execution.
We operate through six core corporate values: Integrity, Passion, Respect, Creativity, Growth and Development, and Empowerment. We foster an authentic, high-trust, and collaborative environment where creative intuition is backed by operational discipline and sound data.
Terry S.A. is seeking a commercial, highly analytical Merchandise Planner to join our Merchandising Division in Makati. This role serves as the strategic financial co-pilot to Merchandising, owning the pre-season, in-season, and post-season financial architectures that drive top-line revenue, inventory productivity, and bottom-line gross margin across omni-channel platforms.
The Merchandise Planner will reconcile top-down company targets with bottom-up category plans, steer Open-To-Buy (OTB) execution, mitigate aged-stock exposure, and provide clear inventory modeling to maximize full-price sell-through across our wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels.
Financial Planning & Budgeting: Develop, execute, and communicate seasonal sales, inventory, and gross margin plans by division, department, and class. Reconcile corporate top-down financial targets with bottom-up unit and assortment plans.
Open-To-Buy (OTB) Management: Co-lead the monthly OTB process with Merchandising and Corporate Planning. Forecast in-season sales, receipts, inventory levels, and markdowns, presenting actionable risk/opportunity scenarios during executive forecast reviews.
In-Season Management & Replenishment: Monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly sell-through, stock-to-sales ratios (SSR), and weeks of supply (WOS). Re-forecast core/basic style replenishment to prevent stock-outs while maintaining working capital targets.
Commercial Strategy & Pricing Execution: Partner with Merchandising to devise promotional pacing, promotional calendar alignments, and strategic markdowns to optimize inventory turn and protect brand equity.
Data Modeling & Trend Analysis: Analyze historical seasonal performance, consumer purchasing behavior, and market shifts to uncover category-level commercial opportunities and eliminate unproductive inventory pockets.
Cross-Functional Governance: Drive alignment with Corporate Planning, Brand Management, Retail Operations, Logistics/Supply Chain, and Business Analytics to ensure receipt timing, inventory allocation, and marketing launches operate seamlessly.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Retail Merchandising, or a related quantitative field.
2 to 4 years of solid experience in retail merchandise planning, inventory allocation, demand forecasting, or commercial buying/planning within fashion, footwear, apparel, or consumer goods.
Deep knowledge of retail math fundamentals: Gross Margin Return on Investment (GMROI), Open-To-Buy (OTB), Stock-to-Sales Ratio (SSR), Weeks of Supply (WOS), Markdowns, and Assortment Architecture.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex lookups, nested logic formulas, data models, and pivot tables).
Prior experience utilizing enterprise planning tools and ERP systems (SAP FICO/MM or Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred).
High integrity, professional maturity, and objective decision-making; comfortable presenting business strategies and holding commercial positions with cross-functional leaders.
Ability to prioritize high-volume deliverables in an agile, fast‑paced retail landscape.
Competitive corporate compensation package commensurate with experience.
Hybrid work arrangement: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote (Fridays).
Flexible work schedule options (core morning flex band commencing at 6:00 AM).
Group Life Insurance upon hire; comprehensive HMO coverage upon regularization.
Paid leave benefits (Vacation, Sick, Emergency, and Bereavement Leave).
Generous employee discounts across the TSA brand portfolio.
Clear career progression paths within an established brand portfolio and exposure to senior leadership.
