Job summary

JBC VENTURES, INC. is seeking aLicensed Mechanical Engineer to lead design and execution of professional kitchen systems in Manila. You will prepare detailed designs, calculations, and shop drawings for HVAC, gas piping, and fire suppression for commercial kitchens.

The role requires coordinating with clients and contractors, overseeing installations, and ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. Regular site visits and precise documentation are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred.
• Experience in MEPFS design and project execution.
• Knowledgeable in HVAC systems, gas line and fire suppression systems.
• Valid driver’s license and own motorcycle preferred (allowance provided).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Willing to conduct regular site visits and fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical designs, engineering calculations, shop drawings, and technical documentation for mechanical systems and kitchen equipment installations.
• Design commercial kitchen exhaust, fresh air, kitchen fire suppression, gas piping, and related mechanical systems per codes and standards.
• Prepare project schedules, execution plans, cost estimates, budgets, and implementation strategies.
• Oversee project implementation within approved scope, timeline, budget and quality requirements.
• Supervise and inspect installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs and safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, and resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments during project execution.
• Review and approve submittals, purchase requisitions, material specs, and equipment selections.
• Prepare progress reports, as-built documentation, testing and commissioning reports, and turnover documents.
• Assist in securing permits, regulatory approvals and compliance with government requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company.
