Job summary

Asiatic Medical Laboraties Inc. seeks a Medical Technologist to perform accurate laboratory examinations and diagnostic tests to assist physicians in diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.

You will ensure proper specimen collection, handling, processing, analysis, and reporting of results in line with established procedures and Philippine regulations. You will maintain laboratory equipment, enforce infection prevention protocols, and deliver efficient, professional, patient-centered services.

Qualifications

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory examinations, including hematology, clinical chemistry, clinical microscopy, serology, immunology, and other tests offered by the clinic
• Collect, receive, identify, label, and process patient specimens, ensuring proper handling and storage
• Prepare reagents, stains, solutions, and other laboratory materials needed for testing
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments according to established procedures
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy, precision, and reliability of laboratory test results
• Verify and validate laboratory results before releasing them to authorized personnel or patients
• Immediately report critical or abnormal laboratory findings to the appropriate physician or authorized personnel
• Ensure proper documentation and recording of all laboratory examinations and results
• Assist patients during specimen collection and laboratory procedures while ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy
• Provide clear instructions regarding proper specimen collection and preparation, including fasting requirements when applicable

About the role

The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing accurate and reliable laboratory examinations and diagnostic tests to assist physicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients' medical conditions. The position ensures proper specimen collection, handling, processing, analysis, and reporting of laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and applicable Philippine laws and regulations. The Medical Technologist also ensures the proper maintenance of laboratory equipment, compliance with infection prevention and control protocols, and delivery of efficient, professional, and patient-centered laboratory services.
