Job summary

The Medical City Clinic at Market! Market! in the Philippines is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our clinical team. The role involves carrying out laboratory tests and procedures and preparing accurate results for clinical decision-making.

The successful candidate will explain procedures to patients, validate specimens, ensure patient safety during collection, and maintain compliance with DOH regulations. A BS MT with PRC license and up to 3 months of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (BS MT) required.
• Valid PRC License (RMT) required.
• Prior experience: preferably at least 3 months as a Medical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Explain laboratory procedures to patients.
• Check specimens for condition and test suitability.
• Ensure safety and comfort during blood collection.
• Examine specimens for abnormalities and ensure accuracy of results.
• Adhere to DOH regulations.
• Document patient data through charting.
• Monitor inventory and supplies.
• Submit census report monthly.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

The Medical City Clinic is searching for a Medical Technologist in Market! Market! to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is responsible for carrying out laboratory tests and procedures and prepares necessary results.

This role reports directly to the Clinic Manager of TMC Clinic Market! Market!

What’s The Role All About?

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Explains laboratory procedures to patients
• Checks specimens or samples as to their condition, acceptability, and appropriateness to the test
• Ensures safety and comfort of patients before and after collecting blood samples
• Examines collected specimens or samples and identify any abnormalities
• Ensures accuracy of test results
• Adheres to regulatory requirements mandated by DOH
• Documents data of patients through charting
• Monitors inventory and ensures availability of related medical supplies
• Submits census report every month
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Who Are We Looking For?

An effective Medical Technologist must possess the following skills:

• General Knowledge in Medical Technology
• Interpersonal Skills
• Proficient communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ideally, a candidate must be at least a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, with a valid PRC License (Registered Medical Technologist), preferably with at least three (3) months experience as a Medical Technologist.
