Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist (MedTech) to join our healthcare team. The MedTech will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and providing accurate diagnostic results to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Certification
- Medical Technologist (MedTech) certification from a recognized certification body (e.g., ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) is required.
- State licensure may be required depending on local regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Technologist or in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not required.
- Experience with specific laboratory tests and equipment is an advantage.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, and analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment, including microscopes, analyzers, and automated systems.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP).
- Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and precision in test results and reporting.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve problems efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret and communicate lab results to physicians and healthcare professionals clearly.
