Job summary

dnata Travel Inc. in Clark, Pampanga seeks a medical services professional to manage triage for cabin crew, perform remote assessments by phone, and coordinate safe, cost-effective care under established protocols.

You will support Fitness to Fly processes under IATA guidelines, handle emergency referrals, and work with internal teams to ensure timely, appropriate medical outcomes for staff and passengers.

Qualifications

• Must have a Medical Degree and an active Medical License to practice in the Philippines.
• 5 years post qualification experience preferably in Emergency Room or General Practice.
• Membership to a non-post graduate college or equivalent.
• Experience in non-face to face clinical care settings is preferred.
• Must be willing to work and relocate to Clark, Pampanga.
• Filipino citizen or have a relevant residence status.

Responsibilities

• Operate a medical triage phone line for Cabin Crew calling sick off base.
• Carry out medical assessment of ‘sick’ off base cabin crew via phone.
• Provide intervention and outcomes based on severity within protocol.
• Ensure non-operating crew return home base quickly within passenger clearance standards.
• Operate a 24/7 Medical Advice Line to eligible patients.
• Refer to internal or external services as needed within standards.
• Give appropriate, safe medical advice for self-care health problems.
• Operate a 24/7 Emergency Line to assist staff with life-threatening conditions.
• Refer appropriately to internal/external services within standards.
• Assess need for ambulance and advise appropriately.
• MEDIF: Medical clearance of Emirates passengers requiring Fitness to Fly under IATA framework.
• FREMEC: Card approval for passengers with Chronic Stable Medical condition.
• Advise operations on excess baggage due to medical reasons.
• Review EK HR applicants' health declarations for Fitness to Work.
• Review staff laboratory results and take action per guidelines; other tasks may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Off Base Sickness Triage (Cabin Crew)

• Operate a medical triage phone line for Cabin Crew calling sick off base.
• Carry out medical assessment of ‘sick’ off base cabin crew via phone and provide intervention and outcome based on severity of condition within an agreed protocol framework.
• Effectively outcome crew to ensure optimal cost effective appropriate care and advice is received
• Ensure ‘non- operating’ crew are returned to ‘Home Base’ as quickly as possible within the framework of passenger clearance standards

Medical Advice Line

• Operate a call back medical advice line to ALL eligible patients
• Refer appropriately when required to internal services or external services within the agreed service standards
• Give appropriate, safe medical advice for self- limiting /self- care health problems

Medical Emergency Line

• To operate a 24 / 7 Emergency Line to assist eligible staff having a life threatening medical condition needing an Emergency Referral
• Refer appropriately when required to internal services or external services within the agreed service standards
• To assess the need for ambulance and advice appropriately

MEDIF

• Medical clearance of emirates passengers who require fitness to fly assessment. This is done within the IATA framework for medical passenger clearance

FREMEC

• FREMEC Card approval for passengers with Chronic Stable Medical condition

Excess Baggage due to Medical reasons

• To advice operations the appropriateness of the excess baggage due to medical reasons

OCC MED PEM

• To review the medical reports and health declaration forms of EK HR applicants for Fitness to Work

Medical Laboratory Results Triage

• To review the staff’s laboratory results and action appropriately based on guidelines agreed with EK clinic.
• Other tasks may be assigned
