Job summary

The Mechanical Technician role is for a cement board production facility, seeking an experienced technician with strong safety awareness and hands-on mechanical skills to keep production assets running efficiently.

You will perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machines, welding, turning, milling tasks, and support planned shutdowns while ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards. A valid driving license and forklift operation are required.

Qualifications

• Completed training as an industrial mechanic, metalworker, metal fabricator, or any comparable technical profession.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience maintaining industrial systems.
• Experience in gypsum plasterboard or cement board is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machines and systems in a cement board facility.
• Support operation and maintenance during production and shutdowns.
• Identify safety risks and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Mechanical Technician

Location: Vagos (Cement Board Factory)

About the Role

We are hiring Mechanical Technicians to support the maintenance and operation of our cement board production facility. The ideal candidate has solid technical expertise, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Formal Education

• Completed training as an industrial mechanic, metalworker, metal fabricator, or any comparable technical profession.

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in maintaining industrial systems.
• Experience in manufacturing is an advantage, especially in:
  • Gypsum plasterboard
  • Cement board
  • Food processing
  • Steel manufacturing

Knowledge & Technical Skills

• Assembly, repair, and maintenance of machines and systems.
• Welding skills (MAG, TIG, E-hand).
• Knowledge in mechanical manufacturing (turning, milling).
• Experience with pneumatics and/or hydraulics is an advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
