Job summary

Pioneer Square Brands in Manila, Philippines, is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our product development team. You will work with product, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams from concept through prototyping to production, ensuring robust designs and documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 1–2 years’ experience, and proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Onshape).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Onshape) and basic materials knowledge.
• Familiarity with injection molding, tooling, machining or assembly is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work fixed night shift at Pasig in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical/hardware product design and development.
• Create and revise 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, and specs.
• Assist with product testing and validation.
• Apply basic DFM/ DFA principles.
• Support material selection and manufacturing processes.
• Identify and resolve design, quality, and manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs and test reports.
• Support tooling, sampling, and production readiness activities.
• Review CAD files and drawings for accuracy and compliance.

Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Silver City, Pasig (Night Shift, Onsite)

About the role:

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who will work closely with product, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development process, from concept and prototyping to testing and production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of mechanical and hardware products
• Create and revise 2D/3D CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications
• Assist with product testing and validation
• Apply basic Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Support material selection and evaluate manufacturing processes
• Identify and help resolve design, quality, and manufacturing issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs and test reports
• Support tooling, sampling, and production readiness activities
• Review CAD files and engineering drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
• Perform detailed proof of checks of CAD drawings and models to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances prior to tooling release, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating corrections with design engineers.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, product development, or manufacturing
• Proficiency or working knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Onshape, or similar tools
• Basic understanding of materials, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with processes such as injection molding, tooling, machining, or assembly is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to work a fixed night shift following a hybrid work arrangement at Silver City, Pasig
