Job summary

Outsourcey in the Philippines is seeking a senior Mechanical Draftsperson to lead a dedicated drafting team and deliver precise 3D Revit models for HVAC projects. You will coordinate shop drawings, manage workloads, ensure compliance with Australian standards, and collaborate with engineers, project managers and site teams to maintain design intent and drive continuous improvement in drafting workflows.

Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills are essential as you mentor junior

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Draftsperson within the HVAC or building services industry.
• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring a drafting team.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for mechanical modelling and documentation.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing detailed shop drawings for HVAC and mechanical services installations.
• Strong understanding of fabrication parts, Revit families, and fabrication workflows.
• Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM Collaborate is highly regarded.
• Sound knowledge of Australian construction practices, mechanical services systems, and relevant Australian Standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support the mechanical drafting team, providing technical guidance, coaching, and quality oversight.
• Produce accurate and detailed 3D mechanical services models using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare and review coordinated shop drawings for HVAC systems, including ductwork, pipework, plant, and equipment layouts.
• Allocate drafting work, monitor team workloads, and ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Review and approve drafting deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards, and internal quality requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, site teams, and external consultants to resolve design issues and maintain design intent.
• Manage fabrication-level detailing within Revit to support prefabrication and efficient site installation.
• Lead BIM coordination activities, clash detection, drawing revisions, and document control while driving continuous improvement across drafting processes.
