Job summary

VTECH Automation Solutions Corp. in Laguna invites an engineer to prepare precise 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, develop assemblies, and fabrication drawings using Autodesk tools.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Fabrication, and Production teams to meet project specs. The ideal candidate is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering or related field, proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor, with strong drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using Autodesk software.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, layouts, and fabrication drawings.
• Use Autodesk Inventor to develop mechanical designs and 3D assemblies.
• Use AutoCAD to prepare, edit, and revise technical drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for production.
• Revise designs based on engineering changes and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Fabrication, and Production teams.
• Ensure accuracy of measurements, materials, and technical specifications.
• Maintain organized CAD files and project documentation.

About the role

This role involves preparing accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and creating detailed designs using Autodesk software. You will develop mechanical designs, 3D assemblies, and fabrication drawings while coordinating with Engineering, Fabrication, and Production teams to ensure all technical specifications and project requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using Autodesk software
• Create 3D models, assemblies, layouts, and detailed fabrication/Automation drawings
• Use Autodesk Inventor to develop mechanical designs and 3D assemblies
• Use AutoCAD to prepare, edit, and revise technical drawings
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and project specifications
• Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for production
• Revise designs based on engineering changes and project requirements

About you

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Drafting, or any related course
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
• Skilled in 2D drafting, 3D modeling, mechanical design, and assembly modeling
• Knowledgeable in technical drawing, fabrication drawings, and blueprint interpretation
• Familiar with mechanical components, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or with a team
• Knowledge of Autodesk Fusion, Autodesk Revit, or other Autodesk applications is an advantage
• Knowledge of SolidWorks is an advantage
