Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a skilled Mechanic to install, assemble, commission, and maintain feedmill machinery. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair mechanical systems to minimize downtime.

The role requires reading drawings, following safety procedures, and occasionally traveling between Davao City and Cebu City for projects.

Qualifications

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mechanic responsible for the installation, assembly, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of feedmill machinery and mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that feedmill equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while minimizing machine downtime and supporting installation and improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble, align, and commission feedmill machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Perform mechanical installation of conveyors, hammer mills, mixers, pellet mills, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, feeders, grinders, crushers, and related equipment.
• Conduct equipment alignment, leveling, coupling, and adjustment.
• Assist in machinery relocation, modification, upgrading, and expansion projects.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and installation plans.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance of feedmill machinery.
• Inspect bearings, shafts, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, pulleys, couplings, rollers, seals, and other mechanical components.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform corrective maintenance.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and machine repairs.

About you

• Graduate of Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical course is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and/or machinery installation preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, conveyors, bearings, gears, chains, belts, pumps, and industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, fitting, and mechanical alignment is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing/feedmill environment.
• Willing to work overtime, shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Willing to travel or be assigned between Davao City and Cebu City, depending on project requirements.
• Follow company safety policies, PPE requirements, and established maintenance procedures.
• Observe proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before performing maintenance.
