Job summary

You will perform regular preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical problems, carry out oil changes, and respond to on-site breakdowns.

The role requires travel to project sites and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School graduate; vocational or technical training in Automotive Technology or Diesel Mechanics preferred.
• Previous mechanic experience, especially in construction or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Familiar with basic electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Able to use common mechanic tools and equipment.
• Willing to travel and be assigned to project sites.
• Work at construction sites; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including engine, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission issues.
• Perform oil changes, lubrication, and replacement of worn or damaged parts.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when necessary.
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend necessary repairs or replacement of parts.
• Coordinate with equipment operators and site personnel regarding reported mechanical issues.
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, spare parts, and equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures during all repair and maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

• High School graduate; vocational or technical training in Automotive Technology, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a mechanic is preferred, particularly in construction, heavy equipment, trucks, or diesel machinery.
• Knowledgeable in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
