Job summary

BHP in Manila seeks an Inventory Planner to monitor and manage inventory for operations. You will work with Inventory and colleagues to optimize parts availability, support Work Order scheduling, and drive KPI-focused outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, strong commercial judgement, and excellent communication skills in English and Spanish. You will coach end users and collaborate across regional teams to improve procedures and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business or technical discipline.
• Strong commercial judgement balancing business value vs. risk.
• Experience monitoring parts availability.
• Collaborative interpersonal skills in diverse teams.
• Ability to operate in complex environments.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory to support operations and functions.
• Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, Group Documents, Code of Conduct and statutory obligations.
• Collaborate with Inventory to optimize parts availability and usage.
• Assess parts availability for scheduled work and recommend actions.
• Review free text items for transfers and align with Work Order scheduling.
• Expedite material delivery when schedules change cannot be accommodated.
• Coach end users on inventory planning processes and integration points.
• Engage regional stakeholders for Parts Availability reviews and actions.
• Address ad hoc queries and support KPI-driven activities.
• Assist Lead Inventory Planner with issue resolution and performance review.
