Job Description
Strategic Planning:Develop & implement material strategies, balancing costs, availability, and production needs, especially for New Product Introductions (NPI).
Demand & Inventory Management:Analyze forecasts, production schedules, and demand to set optimal stock levels, preventing stockouts or overstock.
Cross-Functional Leadership:Collaborate with Engineering (ECN implementation), Procurement, Production, and Logistics to align material flow with overall goals.
Supplier & Performance:Monitor supplier quality/delivery, potentially negotiating contracts, and managing material allocation during constraints.
Process Improvement:Lead initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve material planning systems (MRP/ERP).
Engineering Change Control:Manage the impact of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) on material masters, BOMs, and supply chains.
Data & Systems:Utilize ERP/MRP systems for data-driven decisions, ensuring data accuracy (like Bill of Materials).
Minimum Education and Experience
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Must be a licensed engineer.
