Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Material Control Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse and production coordination, kitting and material control, ensuring on-time material availability and inventory accuracy. The role provides leadership to the material center team, drives operational excellence and collaborates with cross-functional departments to support productivity and growth.

The ideal candidate will develop teams, enforce safety and SOPs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, material control, or supply chain.
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of kitting, material control and warehouse operations.
• Experience with WMS and inventory control processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee day-to-day warehouse and production coordination, kitting, and material control operations to ensure efficient and accurate material flow.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments to meet operational requirements and business objectives.
• Monitor employee productivity, attendance, and performance, providing regular coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
• Establish performance goals and deadlines aligned with company objectives and communicate expectations clearly to team members.
• Ensure proper inventory management, material handling, storage, issuance, and stock accuracy.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials to support production requirements.
• Investigate operational issues, employee concerns, and customer-related complaints, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate personnel records, timekeeping reports, and operational documentation.
• Prepare and submit performance, inventory, and operational reports to management.
• Facilitate effective communication between management and employees by relaying information, updates, and organizational initiatives.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of material center personnel.
• Recommend employee recognition, promotions, and performance improvement actions based on performance evaluations.
• Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, inventory control, workplace safety, and overall operational performance.
• Lead problem-solving activities and support initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
