Job summary

Columbia Shipmanagement invites qualified seafarers to join our diverse fleet. This role entails commanding the vessel, planning voyages, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a multi-national crew. You will supervise cargo operations, conduct safety drills, and manage emergencies with thorough documentation.

Applicants must hold STCW certifications and a valid COC, possess strong leadership and communication skills, and be fluent in English. USA/Australia trading experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Holder of a valid COC (STCW Reg II/2) with verification.
• Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position.
• Experience in a multi-cultural working environment.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Overall command of the vessel, ensuring safe navigation and operations.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
• Plan and execute voyages efficiently.
• Supervise cargo operations (loading, stowage, securing, discharge).
• Lead crew, enforce safety procedures, and conduct drills.
• Handle emergencies and maintain all documentation & reporting.
