Job summary

AMA Computer College Inc. is seeking a College Dean (Maritime) to lead the Maritime Program at our Cavite campus.

Based in Cavite, this full-time role drives program direction, curriculum development, faculty leadership, and industry partnerships to elevate maritime education. The ideal candidate has substantial maritime education leadership experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and a track record of building high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in maritime studies, marine engineering, shipping management, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in maritime education, maritime industry, or related professional field
• Proven experience in academic leadership, program management, or institutional administration
• Strong knowledge of maritime education standards, accreditation requirements, and industry practices
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and quality assurance in educational settings
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders
• Strategic thinking with budget management and resource allocation
• Ability to build and lead high-performing teams and foster professional development
• Knowledge of Philippine maritime regulations and the local maritime industry landscape
• Experience in student recruitment, retention, and career placement initiatives
• Preferred: Advanced degree in maritime-related disciplines, business administration, or education management
• Preferred: Experience in establishing or expanding maritime programs within educational institutions
• Preferred: Connections with maritime industry bodies and shipping organizations

Responsibilities

• Providing academic leadership and strategic direction for the maritime program, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and industry requirements
• Overseeing curriculum development, review, and implementation to maintain relevance and compliance with maritime education standards and regulatory bodies
• Managing faculty recruitment, professional development, and performance evaluation to build a high-quality teaching team
• Ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement of academic programs, teaching methods, and student learning outcomes
• Developing and managing the maritime program budget, allocating resources effectively to support educational objectives
• Facilitating partnerships with maritime industry stakeholders, shipping companies, and regulatory organizations to enhance practical training and placement opportunities
• Overseeing student recruitment, admission processes, and student support services for maritime programs
• Monitoring compliance with maritime education regulations and accreditation requirements
• Reporting on program performance metrics, student achievements, and institutional impact to senior management
• Fostering a collaborative and inclusive campus culture that supports both academic and professional development
