Job summary

A leading marine training organization is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to oversee cadets' and seafarers' training and professional growth. This role requires managing a yearly training budget of around $1.5 million and negotiating with external training providers. The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate of Competency as a Master Mariner and have strong time management skills, along with experience in marine training, ideally having sailing experience on LPG or Ethylene vessels. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Master sailing experience on LPG and/or Ethylene vessels preferred.
• Although not required, shore experience in training is a plus.
• Dedicated, accountable, and possesses exceptional time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Organise and oversee the cadets’ and seafarers’ professional growth and training.
• Accountable for managing a yearly training budget of approximately $1.5 million.
• Enter into contract negotiations with external training providers.
