Job summary

A maritime finance company in the Philippines is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the finance team with various tasks such as processing invoices and assisting in month-end activities. This internship offers practical, hands-on experience in core accounting functions. Ideal candidates are currently studying for a degree in a relevant field and possess a basic understanding of accounting principles. The position is flexible with structured mentoring and the potential for a junior role after completion.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with Excel.
• Can render at least 300 hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing invoices and expense claims.
• Support accounts receivable activities and customer invoice preparation.
• Help maintain the general ledger and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support preparation of financial reports and management packs.
• Assist with VAT and tax reporting tasks as required.
