Job summary

Austal Philippines is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform verifications and inspections at key shipbuilding stages in line with ITP. You will inspect products and materials for defects, and ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The role requires maintaining and improving inspection processes, tools, and records while working in a shipyard environment to support on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with 2–3 years QC/inspection in shipbuilding or marine construction.
• Technical Diploma/Associate degree with 5+ years QC/inspection in shipbuilding or similar industries.
• Reading and interpreting ship drawings and blueprints.
• Familiar with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL and Classification rules.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor experience.
• Knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO).

Responsibilities

• Execute verification, inspection, or test per ITP to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
• Examine products and materials at various construction stages for defects or deviations.
• Maintain and improve inspection processes and quality controls.
• Work in shipyard environments and support meeting project deadlines.
