GHD is seeking a Marine Resident Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary site team on a confidential port infrastructure upgrade in the Philippines. Based primarily on site, you will oversee construction delivery, assess compliance with contract docs, and advise on programme, constructability, risk and project controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, 15+ years of relevant experience in marine/port works, and professional registration in the Philippines.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required; PE/CE registration in the Philippines advantageous.
• At least 15 years of relevant construction experience, including leadership of site teams on marine/port projects.
• Strong contract administration, reporting, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Experience delivering works in live port/logistics environments is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the owner’s-engineer site team across civil, marine, pavement, drainage, utilities and building-services inputs.
• Administer the construction contract: correspondence, submittals, variations, claims, programme reviews.
• Monitor contractor compliance with drawings, specs, method statements and safety requirements.
• Coordinate construction staging and interfaces to minimize disruption to port operations.
• Review programmes, identify risks, and propose mitigation measures.
• Chair site and progress meetings and maintain client-contractor-designer relationships.
• Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning, handover and close-out activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress and safety reports.
