Job summary

RTX in the Philippines is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing/Process Engineer to lead and supervise a team focused on new product development and transfer. You will collaborate with Product Engineering, Design, Quality, and Supply Chain to embed robust manufacturing requirements early in the product lifecycle.

The role requires DFMA proficiency, process development experience, and hands-on capability to develop SOPs, work instructions, and validation plans for prototype builds and pilot runs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, or NPI within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting new product development, product transfer, or manufacturing process development.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
• Experience in process development, prototype builds, manufacturing process design, tooling, fixtures, and equipment validation.
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation such as Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and SOPs.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, or similar methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team of Mfg-Engineering professionals to support new product development and deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure manufacturing requirements are incorporated during development.
• Conduct DFMA reviews and provide recommendations to optimize manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes, work instructions, process flows, and SOPs.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute prototype builds, pilot runs, and engineering trials to validate capability.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets.
