Job summary

OptiHR Business Solutions Inc. is seeking a General Accounting Supervisor to oversee manufacturing accounting controls. You will supervise the team, ensure accuracy of records, and strengthen controls to safeguard assets.

You’ll support month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting, review transaction recordings, and drive process improvements. Leadership and timely coordination with departments are essential for meeting reporting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing setup.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, month-end closing, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Supervise general accounting activities and review the team’s work for accuracy and completeness.
• Support month-end closing, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
• Review how transactions are recorded and help resolve discrepancies.
• Assess internal controls, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain accurate and timely financial information.
• Coach team members and help keep reporting deadlines on track.
